State of the game

There is nothing about Turbine and Lotro lately that shows any polish. From bad moderation on their forums, horrible PR, deceptive marketing, screwing over people who buy TP, buggy unfinished delayed content and this could possible be worst of all if it turns out to be true. They even got their lotrostore wrong by mistakenly putting Draigoch on sale for 20% this past week LOL.

There is something wrong with the leadership and the culture there that lets this get out of hand in all facets of their business. When I think of Turbine I think one word: Unprofessional! It's too bad, there is a lot about the game that I really like, but I wonder how much of it is really left over from the beginning days of LOTRO? Once the content creation tools were made how many of those developers stayed with the product?

  1. That's exactly how I feel about Turbine and LotRO at the moment - it's turned into a B tier game and just not worthy of the IP :(.

  2. I was going to post that I completely agreed with your opinion...until I realized that this was my opinion in a post I made :(

It's not nice when you don't give credit for your content, even if it's unintentional. Don't treat your blog like turbine treats lotro. Polish it up and do it right the first time!

Regardless, I still find your blog enjoyable :)

  3. Arkenstone, sorry for that.
that's exactly where I found your comment which summed up perfectly what I thought myself but being at work, I copied it, posted and completly forgot I was planning to write a longer post about it.

As you can notice, I am not keeping up with this blog recently so it slipped my mind altogether.

Sorry for that, I'll edit that snipped of post-that-never-came-to-be and if you want, you can slap me with black gloves all you want and publicly.
