As mentioned not so long ago we decided to come back to Dol Guldur after a few months of denying the annoying place even exists.
I was quite insistent on going back as I never got to beat the Liutenant before we stopped visiting him for tea al together, which meant four deeds lingering in my otherwise perfect (Ettens doesn't count! Yes, I be a deed-whore) deed log:equipment comes and goes and level cap increases, but titles and mounts stay!
Galadhrim War-steed was not only "he one which got away", I also considered it a perfect choice to match my Annuminas outfit(s)... Finally, mine, along with assorted titles like Savious ofMirkwood and such ^^

Lothlorien Goat
I was very sceptic about the Wild Goat as a reward for becoming Saviour of Lothlorien - elves on goats? Over my dead body!
But apparently I am quite easyto convince with enough of aesthetic stimulation. Andthe goat's visual apperance is simply... amazing and totally elf worthy. And if I need to use a bloody goat, it's better be a pretty one and if it also matches my outfit, I am more than happy.
And it does! the goat is in great synergy with my all-time favourite Annuminas set.
In other words, I am in love yet again. And with a goat!!!

Grenth and Dwayna costumes
Being the great Guild Wars fan that I am, I got myself those fluff little costumes. Not because I particularly like them (tho I am impressed by the design) nor because I am a spoiled brat (as I've seen some players referring to costume wearers), but because I wanted to somehow support NCSoft while they are developing GW2.
There is something bending in human minds with the word FREE, and now in a good way. Regrettably, free is rarely of any decent quality or the price comes in at some point. After all, you get what you pay for. Guild Wars is awesome, but with the project being discontinued, what kind of support were we left with? Balance went to hell ages ago, broken skills became part of the game culture because noone bother to fix them, serious exploits are left unattended for weeks... No, GW doesn't have a good vibe with it for me anymore. And even in the times it shone, there's something it was lacking and of which I know now that I've played a subscription-based game - in-game support. A little thing that sometimes changes so much..!
But I am still looking forward to GW2 and this is why I bought the costume pack - to support it's developement.
Dwayna's costume rocked my socks off. I love the details, I adore the wing-like sleeves and the mesh of the dress! It does clip like hell when running, but when standing - it's marvelous!

Grenth... for the first time in known history I am not impressed with something grenth-like. But still, I like.

Pulchritudinous Flight

Happiness is purple and sparkles and flickers.
I must admit I totally don't understand the amount of negativity GW community shows towards this promotion. So if you buy Aion now when the game launches, you will get a bonus in form of GW emote, a sparkly fluff. If you like it but don't plan to play Aion, it's not like NCSoft makes you buy the game - ask around, there surely be someone among your friends who doesn't plan on using the key. If you don't like it, than don't bother and give they key to someone else that does like it.
Because seriously, all those angry comments make me think of their authors as of people who'd love to have those wings, but can't spare money on Aion and can't think of another way to get the serial key.
Well, people, those wings were ment as gifts for players that supported NC Soft through both Guild Wars and Aion. It's that simple.
Did this promotion make me buy Aion?
No, I bought it way back in June because I was planning to play this game. Things changed since than and I'm ending up with a $80 worth of CE I'm not even gonna touch, but my mind was seriously made up.
Would this promotion make me buy Aion if I was undecided?
It would probably count as an argument, but it would depend on contr-argument.
Defenetly not at the moment, I'm a bit disgusted with Areteia farm-fest and the fail that is a head-start with 7h of login cue and so on and so forth. Will probably play a bit when and if it is possible to actually log in until my free month ends because the game looks simply a.m.a.z.i.n.g, but I don't see myself paying monthly fee for it.
Would this promotion make me buy Aion if I didn't want to play?
No. I would look for other ways of getting the bonus key, I have plenty of friends who plan to play Aion and never played Guild Wars or don't care about the emote.
If I wouldn't be able to obtain it from anyone I know, I would consider buying Aion CE in box, using up the bonus key, and selling off the CE in a year or more, depending on how the prices would look like.

Silirien the Fashionable

Luilloth: 'I couldn’t help but notice that lovely ensemble you’re wearing. I would go so far as to call you Silirien, the Fashionable!'
Not that it comes with any supprise to me, it's aparent that my (virtual) fashion choices have always been flawless..!
So Sil, like most famous top models of real world, decided to show herself off while posing in Moddle-Earth most famous fountain in Bree... ;)
You are strongly aware that you only get one chance to make a first
impression, and take great care to ensure that your garments are up to
the task!

Dressed to Kill

After months of fashion hunting, my new, one-of-a-kind look is finally complete..!
What's killing worth, without a style? Everyone knows a perfect combo is more deadly!

I love Annuminas, one of my favourite locations in the Middle-Earth so far. Would have no match whatsoever, if The Bitch didn't leave around the corner... >.> Oh well.
Befriending the Dunadain of Annuminas was relatively easy or Sil, as primo, she is an elf, and the two races share a long history of friendship, and secundo, My Lord is one of their own.
But once I have gained their trust, the real hard, sweaty and bloody work begun. Was worth it, yes.

Wig-Feld

...GIEF!
...and it has nice stats too... Purrfect for Sil, Agi and Fate! and some morale too, but that's never been a priority for her.
It wouldn't match the planned Annumins set, true... but who would drop this baby to look like a limone?
A very lucky Captain
The story begins when Silirien decided to kill some time in Barad Gualaran with a PUG. Those of you who know me a little closer are perfectly aware of the fact that I'm in love with the place... The design clearly shows it was run by a woman! An evil villain, yes (mark the use of red, fire in general, demon ornaments and always fashionable spider webs), but a woman.
...the windows!
It's one of a few places in LotRO that actually have a window view...!
And red heavy curtains...!
And.. and the Sorc's have awesome dresses!

I don't know why, but something tells me that woman fashion in Angmar is to have shaved head... :X
<3 the dress.
Anyway, in the PUG Sil met a friend from R'r'U, Captain Beor, a very noble dwarf Guardian Raori, a silent hobbit minstrel, a decent Loremaster and a nooby hunter Ery.
By nooby, I mean nooby. Everyone may have an unlucky shot and aggro adds during a fight with Elite Master monster, but trying to make it look like it was on purpose is really nooby. In the derogatory meaning. And pushing the blame on others doesn't help. Nor does the fact, that Sil was 'the other'.
Nevertheless, it all went rather smooth and we got to the Casstelan - a worthy enemy, and one of great wealth, known to drop a weapon greatly cherished and desired by Captains, Captain's Arm. Unfortunatelly, Loremaster's tactics was one year old, and outdated. Uncle Google said "DPS him down, the faster, the better as he spawns adds every few seconds". Quite a straightforward tactics, but here we lost our minstrel... Nevertheless, we decided to take our chance and strike Castellan down. And we did, but his adds stroke us down in return, without giving us a chance to proper loot him and the Chest he kept his treasures in.
Now the problem with Barad Gualaran these days is that after wipe, you spawn quite far away, over a valley crawling with elites, so it takes a lot to get back. The mobs remaining after the fight didn't help - it's really quite impossible to open a chest while something is hitting you, not to mention loot it...
Still, as the rest of the group was quite desperate to get the Key and the Horn that were kept in the chest, Sil decided to take her chances and stealth behind the guards to the chest, hoping that primo, they won't see her approaching, and secundo, she will manage to loot whatever was in the chest before they get to her.

As you can see from the picture, the legendary Elven stealth, tho untrained, proved sufficient (some Strange Flowers Sil carries with her for such occasions might have helped as well) and she got to the chest and, among the Key and the Horn, she saw Captain's Arm... but the chest itself was not affected by Master Looter..! I could not give the items to anyone, I could only put them into my inventory, but they would bind...
Than I thought... if I could open the chest and take the other BoA's, if Beor can get here and is given enough time... he might get the Arm!
First plan was that I will keep the two remaining guards occupied, and Beor rushes to the Chest. But it was growing really late and we didn't want to take chances... Fortunatelly, there is always Kin to help :) Bodin and Hal rushed with Beor to rescue me from my uneasy possition and set the treasure free :) The ammount of compliments and proofs of love end eternal devotion that Beor showed to me would excell far beyond the capacity of this blog tho ;)
This is why the Halberd is so precious:

I must say, I really felt like a ninja there! :D

Naruhel, the Red Maid

A beauty, isn't she?
And her dress, darnnit! (you can't miss Sil's stare, actually).
Naruhel, the Red Maid, corrupted water-maiden of Garth Agarwen. My favourite boss, as she has a style. And an awesome dress. And crown. And she is dippind with blood! I wish I could call her Big Sister!
Oh, wait, Elenariel is the evil sister among the two >.< i'm always forgetting...

Elf-maiden's dress
Book XII it was? I think...

Me Wants! Gief!
No, not The Ring. The Dress!
...why the Devs always give the prettiest clothes to NPCs...
GW Devs did the same >.>

Annuminas set mix'n'match
Maybe LotRO doesn't have the variety of clothes of Guild Wars, nor it offers as much mix'n'match possibilities, but still there are some beautiful fashion objects aviable...
Beautiful, but:
#why are they not dyeable? Sil loves her indygo statement >.>
#why are they so useless? I mean, there's no way any character under level 50 can obtain them now (as barter items are Bind on Acquire), and there are plenty of better things to wear
#if they are so useless, why are they so hard to get?
Well, women always suffered for fashion. So I will, again. In three months, can't get the set before I leave to Stuttgart. In the meantime, a little tease: this is how Sil is planning to get dressed when she comes back

Enmity of Drakes

Long since gone, yes.
But every time I see those raging spirits attacking huge monsters, I feel amazed - looked too good not to take a screen shot.
And the spirits match my dress, too...

Late update notice

Aah I totally forgot... I have this baby for like one week+ but I didn't update my collection here... Maybe because I never get to use it ^^ but it's there waiting for me if I'm ever in a need for an offhand to my caster spear :)

Out of Control

Totally.
My purse hasn't been so empty for like, a year or so and I have never, EVER spent taht much before.
But I'm happy..! Finally, I'm on a way to a coherent, stylish image of my Cherrie :) Only, why does this cost so darnn much? >.<
Thankfully, there ain't many torments I could find a use for left..
But you never know.. I don't even like this shield's skin..... Hmmm ok, this is me being a fashion victim.

Bleed white to please the Bear!

I bought those cute torments matching my dress perfectly... only to let them gather dust, since recently I spend most of the time under Ursan Blessing...
Really... as a true Fashion Victim (who Cherrie always was..), I had to do something about it.
Obviously, I had to buy Tormented weapon for the Bear...
So I chose the Spear, it works as Caster weapon also :) Not as cute as Elemental Sword maybe... but still...
Get the sexiest collection or die trying!

Tormented...

If I am to spend, I'm gonna spend big..!
Tormented Weapons match FoW... and even more, they match Mesmers (Tormented Staff dealing chaos dmg... perfect match!).
So, thanks to Robin (again..!), I could afford one such baby and fully admire the beautiful ornaments on the head...
...as well as a matching longbow for luring. I love sets!
Gods, I'm spoiled, ain't I....

(Fashion) Dream Came True

Cherrie's dream came true... She finally got her Dream Staff :D
I was about to write how rare the skin is, and how rare the staff with actual stats is, but everyone knows it, right? ^^ Sometimes it's good to be a mesmer... perfect, rare stuf costs so little for underestimated classes....
So, here is my Sweetie, with her weapon set: Staff (ohhh how we love the +20 energy and bonus HP :D) and Luring Bow. <3!

GW:En Armor Leak
I myself can't make up my mind wheter to take those as an actual leak from ANet's test server or a well prepared joke by someone using TextMod... They sure look proffesionally made and two of those were shown at E3, but at the same time... they are so obviouly reskinned models with minor modifications it's almost too simple and crude from Anets side to create new armors like that... Anyways I promised my friend I'll post them, so here they are.
I must say I myself am very, very upset with some aspects of GW:EN. It ends GW - and I ain't looking forward to GW2 seeing ANet aiming for grind, farm and everything more like WoW, eeeek; has no CE, and now this... Those armors are reskins of merely modified models.... Meh :(
Official Art released:
GW:EN is already released and one can see all the armor arts on various pages so I'll remove those pics clustering my page :)

Cherrie the Couples' Trendsetter

Male version of Kurzick-and-Labyrinth came out to be a stunning success... so Cheryl couldn't stop but think if a female verions looked at least as good as it's male counterpart. As far as her imagination could reach, she would tell it would... as long as the pants were painted white to match the permamently white female top. Also, female monk could use cute Labyrinth ankle bracelets, as they are more discreet... and this would be a good choice since female Kurzick boots look kinda awkward with the pants, making legs look fleshy.
Miss Robinina, Nifredil's monk companion, gladly catched the idea and decided to give it a try, but first attempt to build the set was ruined by those nasty, nasty Luxons taking over Vasburg Armory... Luckily, the next day their forces were driven away by our brave Kurzick troops and girls were able to goshopping ;) When all parts were ready, we sat a while to decide what color to use for the tatoos... They way they came by default was very light, making this beauty look like a Snow White. Since Nif's tatoos were matching the rest of his outfit, we tried to find a combination of colors that would follow this pattern; white was out of the question naturally as it would give no contrast. Simple one-color combinations that had a chance to match Robin's trousers didn't look too appealing (bronze, orange or yellow all looked a bit dirty); blue, violet and green presented themselves better, but did not follow Nif's outfit scheme enough. Most promising combos were black plus either blue, violet or red, which, as a bonus, enchanced the fact that Labyrinth tatoo has in fact two hues: lighted and darker, which ain't easily visible when painted too dark (black... have I mentioned already taht the new black is too jet?) or too light (most one-color dyes). Robinina chosed black + red for her tatoos as matching the ornaments of her trousers the most, and so... we have a fashonable looking couple :) Cheryl couln't be more proud!
The photo was taken when we were vanquishing Unwaking Waters (us three plus [stns] guild leader Sharn) ; you can see Cher looking at her 'masterpiece' with admiration... and showing of her boots. I've finally came to conclusion that Vabbian boots indeed match this outfit combo better, and I'm loving it.
PS. While looking at them, I feel an urge to make myself a monk and get her that amor combo too... Somebody stop me please, I don't even enjoy monking...

Cherrie the Trendsetter
I not only dress up my own dolls... I also dress up others now ^^

Came up with that monk combo when Labyrinth was added to game; I generally don't like Monk tatoo sets worn as w complete sets, they look... kinda stupid imho. And complete Labyrinth looks like a monkey set, or more precisely like a monkey dancer set, with a little skirt... But the upper body design was tempting. Monks have actually quite well built bodies in GW, not exposing them is a shame :P And Kurzick pants make their shapy butts look even shapier..
Anyways, I was about to convince one of my befriended monks to abandon his jacket and show his torso in a fancy new tatoo with fancy new jewlery but he was quite resilient - he didn't want to be my doll ;( - but annother monk friend overheard my fashion proposition and decided to try it out. With great results, as you can see above. Cheryl feels really proud right now, her fashon sense was finally given a proper attention ;) Hmmm, I wonder if those bracelets and the choker will fit on Cher...
PS: The sexy monk on the photo is Sir Nifredil :)
